Nadine Pomarenski
NADINE JUDY POMARENSKI
March 6, 1949 – May 31, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce that Mom passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024 in Oakview Place at the age of 75. Nadine was pre-deceased by her parents, Horace and Dorothy Hooker.
Nadine will be forever cherished and remembered by her children, Leah (Kevin) and Eric (Amber); grandchildren Christian, Gavin and Jackson; sisters Carey (Bernie) and Bonnie (Ed). Nadine will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and dear friends.
Nadine was born March 6, 1949 in Central Patricia, Ontario and grew up nearby in Pickle Lake, Ontario. She moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba with her parents and sisters, and then eventually settled in Stony Mountain, Manitoba where she raised her own family. Once her children were grown, Nadine moved back to the St. James area of Winnipeg.
Nadine became an avid sports fan long ago, when she would listen to football and hockey games on the radio with her dad. In her later years, she expressed her creativity in intricate and detailed colourings, amongst many other art projects. Nadine also loved to read and had many books.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the support and care provided by the Team at Oakview Place. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Oakview Place, 2395 Ness Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3J 1A5.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00pm on June 21, 2024 at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Church).
