KENNETH "KEN" PRITCHARD

February 21, 1954 - March 2, 2023

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Kenneth Pritchard on March 2, 2023. As quietly as he walked through life, he left peacefully the same way with his wife of 45 years, Valerie by his side.

Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife Valerie; sons, Tyler (Rebecca) and Matthew (Kristen); and five grandchildren, Maggie, Charlee, Devon, Selina, and Liam. Also left to mourn are his brothers, Les (Joanne) and Norm (Melanie); and nieces and nephews.

Dad worked in the heavy construction industry for over 50 years. He owned his own business until his retirement in 2021. Dad was extremely hard working and worked long hours to provide for his family. Dad would stop what he was doing to enjoy a bonfire with his wife or family in his yard or while camping. Dad was extremely handy and spent many hours with his sons fixing or working on things around the house and yard. Dad and mom had recently purchased a fifth wheel and spent much of the past two summers enjoying campgrounds across Manitoba. Dad also loved travelling to Mexico with his wife and watching a good curling game on TV.

Dad’s fight with cancer was brief, and we are thankful he is at peace. We thought we had more time and shouldn’t have trusted it so much. We miss you. With respect to Dads wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

Ken's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

My deep sympathy to you family.  Could someone please add his parents names. I am not sure where he fits in the Pritchard Family History.  E. Johansen

Our condolences to the family. We remember a lot of good times. Once while camping Ken was barbecuing steaks on a hibachi standing on the picnic table. Your little dog kept wanting to greet other dogs   So Ken tied your dog to the bbq. Next dog came by and your little dog took off running with the hibachi in tow leaving a trail of steaks, coals and ashes. Lol.  We are going to miss Ken  Bye Ken.  Rest in peace.

Val and family we are so sorry to hear of Kenny’s passing. So many memories come to mind of my childhood and my “big brothers” Kenny and Norm.  As big brothers do they tormented me so but were the first to show up if you needed a hand with something.   We had many of laughs playing king Pedro numerous other card and table games, not to mention the shenanigans on the bus rides to and from school. So many great memories.  RIP “big brother” Kenny!
