ANTHONY “PAUL” PRYCHITKO

September 25, 1966 – January 25, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that his family announces the sudden passing of our beloved father, son, brother and uncle Paul Prychitko on January 25, 2024.

Paul is survived by his son Matthew Paul Prychitko (Shawna), daughter Kathryn Natalie Prychitko (Antonio); his father Terry: sister Tammy Manchester (Boyd); brother Jonathan (Keri); nieces and nephews Allison McConomy (Sean), Coletan Manchester (Julie), Mallory Prychitko, James Prychitko; great nephews Logan, Patrick and Lincoln McConomy.

He was predeceased by his mother Marjorie (nee Finishen); his grandparents John and Mary Prychitko and Phillip and Magda Finishen.

Paul was the eldest of three children born to Terry and Marjorie. He was raised in Transcona and attended Radisson, Margaret Underhill, Arthur Day and Murdoch MacKay Collegiate. He was elected as the student council president in Grade 12 at Murdock MacKay Collegiate.

Paul married Natalie Nelipa in Oshawa Ontario in 1990 and lived in Toronto and Oshawa area until his permanent return to Winnipeg in 2013.

Paul was employed as an accountant for several employers in the Toronto area and laterally in Winnipeg with Western Financial (Wyatt Dowling Insurance) as a policy processor.

He enjoyed his annual road trips to and from Winnipeg and Oshawa or North Bay to visit and fish at Sioux Narrows or Trout Lake (North Bay). He thoroughly enjoyed being in a boat and fishing with his children and his nephews and nieces. He had many favorite stops on the TransCanada Highway including Katherine Cove on Lake Superior. He made his last trip in September 2023 with his dad Terry (a big thankyou to Jon, Keri, Mallory and James for their hospitality).

Paul had a life long love of animals including the various pet cats and dogs, especially his rescue dog Emme who adopted him in 2009 and predeceased Paul in 2023.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to The Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at 12:30 PM, Friday May 31, 2024 at the Kum Koon Garden restaurant, 257 King Street at Logan.

Paul’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Paul, you were a great coworker and coffee buddy, always ready to tackle whatever came your way. I miss our almost daily chats and your bad Dad jokes and how you genuinely cared about what was going on in our lives. I hope you're relaxing with Emme on a Hawaiin beach somewhere, gone too soon. Keep the coffee on Paul.....
