PHYLLIS REDDY

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis, who peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by her family at the age of 89 years.
 
Phyllis was the nicest person you could ever meet. She would give you the shirt off her back and then offer you homemade cookies. She loved her family and did everything imaginable for them. She was full of kindness, compassion and love.

Phyllis didn't have a single mean bone in her body and brightened the lives of so many people during her 89 years on earth. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joys but she enjoyed gardening, baking, pets, trips to the casino and making new friends. We would ask her what she would do if she ever won the jackpot, and her answer was always that she would give it to her family. She made friends easily and could get along with anyone.

She loved all sorts of board games and would often be remembered playing these for hours with her sons, grandchildren, family and friends. Her laugh was contagious and she always had a smile on her face. She taught us many life lessons about being unselfish, nurturing, honest and hard working. There are few people on this earth who truly possess only honorable, virtuous and kind-hearted qualities. Those were innate in our mother and we will forever be grateful for them.

Heaven just got a little brighter as they just gained another angel. We love you mom. Rest in peace and know your will live in our hearts forever.
 
A funeral service will be held at St. John Brebeuf Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Place on Tuesday November 14, 2023 at 11:00 am. She will be buried at Glen Lawn Cemetery 455 Lagimodiere Blvd following services.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society or Cancer Care Manitoba would be greatly appreciated.
