ROBERT (BOB) REID

January 24, 1947 - December 7, 2025

It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Robert (Bob) Reid.

Predeceased by his parents Earle and Aldea; and his sister Margot. Bob leaves to mourn his wife Tracy; brothers, Ted, Jack (Cherie), and Phil; nieces, Danielle, Stephanie, and Chantal (Jake); nephews Keith (Rosana) and Quentin (Michelle); Tracy’s family; as well as his many cousins and friends.

Bob enjoyed the outdoors, spending many hours fishing with Tracy and their dear friend Darlene, and gardening with his niece Danielle. Although their opinions differed on what was a weed, he continued to patiently (most of the time) teach and assist with the garden. I know we will all miss his knowledge, enthusiasm and joy. I hope that Danielle will continue to learn and grow her garden with him in mind.

The family would like to thank the emergency responders and the staff at St Boniface emergency for their efforts and compassion.

A special personal thanks to Brian Sharkey for not only being his doctor for so many years, but a good friend willing to spend extra time with him sharing stories about absolutely everything. I know he must have put you behind schedule a few times, and I love that you had that time.

Bobby, I hope you’ve reunited with Scrappy and all of the loved ones who’ve gone before you. You were my love, my companion, my frustration and my anchor. You are missed.

A Celebration of Life and burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in his memory.

Daisy, my dog, would see the silver van pull up in front of Daniell's house, jump off the couch, race to the window and patiently wait for Bob to come out. She would sit down, whine with her tail thumping loudly against the floor, then turn to me as if to say 'come on let's go see him. On the occasions when we were outside and the van arrived, it was a race to get to Bob. He would sternly tell Daisy to sit. She would but it took all of her self control to do so while waiting for him to lean down and pet her.

Bob was a fixture on our street and will be sadly missed.

Rest in peace.

So sorry I didn't get to see Bob the last 15 years. Bob was always happy. a gentle giant, At least that's how I remeber him as a kid growing up. Man I miss those days when we were all younger. My deepest condolences to the Reid family. I miss you all dearly.
