WILLIAM THOMAS REVOY
December 5, 1940 – May 3, 2025
It is with profound sadness we announce “Bill”, “Dad”, “Grandpa” passed peacefully at the age of 84 with family by his side. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 46 years, Helen Revoy who predeceased him in 2008, and father to four children.
He is survived by his four children, Susan Nagle (John), Grace Karpinsky (Rheal), Thomas Revoy (Roxane), Anna Revoy (Jay); his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with his two lifelong friends, Lillian & Carey Stevens.
Dad was born in Brandon, MB but moved to Winnipeg with his wife and first two children in approximately 1972. The family resided in Fort Rouge, on Maplewood for 18 years with many family members still having strong ties to the community.
He was a humble man in all ways, who put his family before himself every day. While a man of few words, he had a warm, calm nature that made him endearing to those around him. He was an avid 5 pin bowler, bowling competitively in his younger years, passing his love of the sport on to his family and bowled into his late 70’s. He loved watching hockey, a game of cribbage, and trying his luck at the casino.
The family would sincerely like to thank Lillian & Carey for their lifetime of friendship, for being his confidants, companions in grief. Your coffee dates meant the world to him and your final visit helped give him the peace he needed to join his forever love Helen.
No formal service is planned. Friends are welcome to join the family to celebrate his life and spirit during an afternoon of bowling, cribbage, food and drinks from 1:00pm – 3:00pm on Friday, May 9, 2025, at The Park Alley, 730 Osborne Street.
William’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
