Bob Richardson

ROBERT “BOB” RICHARDSON
April 28, 1949 – February 24, 2026
It is with sadness, that after a brief battle with cancer, we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Richardson on February 24, 2026.
He is survived by his daughters, Carla Richardson, Vicki (Mike) LeBlanc; grandchildren, Gatlin (Makenna) Hebner, Maddex Hebner (Burke Hood), and Hadleigh LeBlanc. He will be dearly missed by his sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Rex Martin.
Bob was born in Minnedosa, MB on April 28, 1949 and grew up on the family farm in Basswood. He attended Red River College for Plumbing and Steamfitting and apprenticed at Sherritt Gordon Mines in Lynn Lake and Neepawa Plumbing and Heating. He was an avid sports fan, loved playing fast ball and enjoyed coaching his daughter’s baseball and basketball teams. Later in life he and Susan purchased a few acres of land north of Oakburn and spent many happy weekends around the fire with their dog, enjoying the peace and quiet. He lived a private life finding joy in the simple things —hunting, boating, watching hockey and playing crib.
Bob was predeceased by the love of his life, Susan Richardson, whose memory remained a source of happiness for him until his final moments, and his parents, Ethel and Jack Richardson.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest beside Susan in a private service.
