Larry Robinson

LARRY THOMAS ROBINSON
June 24, 1961 – January 20, 2026
Larry Robinson, 64, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of love, cherished memories, and a legacy rooted in family, nature, and quiet strength.
Larry had a deep love for horses and found true peace in their presence. Some of his happiest moments were spent giving wagon rides at Spruce Woods Provincial Park for over 30 years, or riding horseback through the back country. He felt most at home outdoors; surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and simply enjoying being together. Those simple, meaningful moments became the memories his loved ones will forever hold close.
Above all else, Larry loved his family. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Robyn Bjornsson-Robinson; his children, Trevor (Shannon) Robinson, Megan (Doug) Neufeld, Marley (Louie) Beam, and Robyn’s children, Caiden Bjornsson, Aurora Bjornsson, and Dorian (Maddison) Bjornsson; and his cherished grandchildren, Colby, Blake, Ashton, Peyton, Lily, Maci, and Theo, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Larry is also lovingly remembered by his mother, Lillian Robinson; his brother, Lyle Robinson; and many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.
He was predeceased by his father, Norman Robinson; and his sister, Muriel Robinson.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in Larry’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Vorster and the nurses at Boundary Trails Health Centre and the Health Sciences Centre for their compassion, care, and kindness, which brought comfort to Larry and his family.
Larry will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his love of the outdoors, and the steady, caring presence he brought into the lives of those around him. His memory will live on in every shared story, every family gathering, and every moment spent beneath the open sky.
“Oh, the last goodbye’s
the hardest one to say,
and this is where
the cowboy rides away.”
~ George Strait

The Norrie family would like to send our condolences to the Bjornsson-Robinson families. Rab was an amazing person who was loved by so many. I have so many great memories ! He and my dad (Bill Norrie) had such a fun relationship and a special bond with their love of horses. I last saw Larry at my dad’s celebration of life in June.
I imagine that you are both now riding side by side on heaven’s endless trails!

For several years I took Grade 6 students on a 5 day trip around Manitoba! We always stopped for a wagon ride at Spruce Woods! The stories Larry would tell! One of the highlights for so many of our northern students, not just for a wagon ride but also seeing a real cowboy!
