PATRICIA ESTRADA ROBLES

July 25, 1946 – January 18, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother Patricia Estrada Robles on January 18, 2024 at the age of 77.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and cherished friend who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Born on July 25, 1946, Mom brought warmth and joy into the world. Her vivacity, kindness, compassion, and unwavering love created a haven for her family and friends.

Mom's passion for dancing, especially to the rhythmic beats of Latin music and salsa, was infectious. Her love for movement and joyous melodies defined her, bringing energy to every gathering. She was a proud volunteer for Folklorama, where she embraced the multicultural richness of our community. Her involvement in Nayong Pilipino and the Filipino Seniors Group of Winnipeg showcased her dedication to fostering cultural connections and building friendships.

An industrious and dedicated worker, Mom poured her heart into her role at Wendy's, embodying hard work and commitment. Her social nature led her to make countless friends along her journey, creating a network of warmth and support.

Mom is an avid movie enthusiast, boasting an extensive collection of VHS tapes, DVDs, and her favorite streaming services, Netflix and YouTube.  She finds joy in this form of entertainment and often shares these special moments with her kids.

In her quiet moments, Mom found solace in her love for plants. Her nurturing touch turned her home into a haven of greenery. She was equally at home in the kitchen, crafting delicious meals that reflected her Filipino heritage and culinary flair. Her friends were often treated to these culinary delights, a testament to her generosity.

Mom's sense of style was unmatched—she walked into a room, and heads turned. Her fashion sense was a reflection of her vibrant personality and zest for life. Beyond her external grace, Mom held a deep connection to her faith, dedicating her life to God and finding solace in her church community.

Her unwavering love for her children was evident in the thoughtful way she never forgot their birthdays, and any other holidays, ensuring each one felt special on their day. She was the fun grandma, ever ready with her wide array of goodies and grandma jokes. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of life.

Although we will miss her dearly, she will live on in our hearts through the countless memories of shared laughter, nurturing guidance, and the enduring love she has bestowed upon us.

“Losing you created a void that words cannot fill. Your love continues to surround us, even though you're no longer here. Thank you for the countless moments of love and care. You'll forever hold a special place in our hearts.”

A celebration of Mom’s life will be held starting at 6:00 PM, Friday Feb 02, 2024 at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Winnipeg located at 603 Wellington Crescent, Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Prayer service will be officiated by Father Anani at 7:00 PM.

Special thank you to the Ethical Death Care Team for their exceptional service and for the amazing support they’ve shown us as we dealt with our loss.

Ate Pat, as a young child  I remember your laughter.  I remember how you love to read comics.  You’ve always shown me your  gentleness.

I’m so glad that we had the chance to visit each other when I was there in Winnipeg.  Your presence brought a lot of warmth and memories to me.

Thank you for the memories ♥️

You are now amongst the angels and I know you will watch over us.

We feel that no one can ever really be ready to deal with losing a loved one, no matter what the circumstance is, no matter how much they prepare. Your support helped us get through the most challenging days we’ve ever had. Thank you for everything. We are deeply grateful for your support, kindness and generosity.

Not having to walk this path alone was the greatest gift I have been given in my life. Thank you so very much for your support and thoughtful words in this difficult time.

We express our heartfelt sympathy to everyone in the family, and offer our genuine condolences to Tita Patricia's loved ones (that includes us).

We know we haven't seen her for quite some time due to being miles apart, although video calls helped. And saying goodbye is always hard, but even more so when it's now permanent.

"Your oldest sister (my Mom), Ate Ayo Zaballero , was devastated upon learning of your passing. She called you by your childhood nickname, 'Atling', as she cried. She truly loves you, Tita, despite you and she having been apart when you were both young, she never forgets you."

"I will miss our video calls, and will never hear your voice again. Thank you for being thoughtful and sweet. I love you, Tita Patricia, my Ninang . . so long  😪😔😞 rest well for now until we meet again. May you rest in peace, Tita  . . 🙏🏻"

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the Robles family.  Although I did not know Patricia - through Joy and Rick, I was able to see how close knit, caring and loving this family is.  My thoughts and prayers are with the Robles family in this time of sorrow.
