ELSIE EMMA ROUX

Elsie Emma Roux, aged 89 years, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at St.Joseph Actionmarguerite long term care home.

Born in Pierson, MB, August 20, 1932, she was a proud farm girl. Never idle, Elsie raised three daughters, managed the La Salle Hotel restaurant while owning and operating the Imperial Ice Cream Parlour. Known for her breakfasts, Elsie had regular customers, many of which turned into long time friends.  After years of serving her community Elsie found her love of caring for the elderly recognized through the work she did with Home Care.

Elsie was an active member of the Legion for many years. In her spare time, Elsie could be found tending to her garden, going to yard sales, crocheting and baking or making delicious soups for family and friends. One of her true passions in life was to care for people. It was common for Elsie to elevate loved ones to good health with humour, warm food and her presence. Elsie was proud and devoted to her family. She dedicated her days to bringing people together. Elsie also loved to dance!

With love and affection, Elsie is survived by five generations of family; Daughters (Brenda King (Roux)/Lyle, Shelley Hayes (Roux)/Barry), predeceased by eldest daughter and son-in-law (Carol Klawuhn (Roux)/Henry). Grandchildren (Bobbi-jo Joachim/Chris, Kevin Roux/Jonilyn, Tracy Klawuhn/Ryan, Kendra Miller-Gizowski/Kyle, Travis Klawuhn). Great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. 

Friends, nephews, nieces, cousins, everybody loves Nana. Hugs and Kisses.  

Family will gather to celebrate Elsie’s memory.

In Lieu of flowers donations will be graciously accepted at the Actionmarguerite Foundation.
