It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of William “Bill” Rowan. Peacefully with the love of family by his bedside, Bill Rowan took his last breath the evening of January 16th, 2025 at the Grace Hospital. He was 89 years of age.

Bill will be sadly missed by his children: Mary-Ann (Shane) & David; his grandchildren: Ashton (Ryan), Tanner (Jo-Anne), Brady (Hannah), and Abby (Werner); bonus grandson: Darius; and great granddaughter: Aurora.

Born & raised in the Woodville district on February 13, 1935, Bill was the eldest of 5 children and he leaves behind to lovingly remember him, his brothers: Lyle (Diane) & Darwin; and his sister Dorothy (Gerry). He is predeceased by his sister Arlene; and his parents, Ralph and Nellie Rowan.

We will miss your funny stories and your one-of-a-kind voice messages. You were a huge part of our lives and you never missed an opportunity to share in a special occasion.

You had a way of making everyone feel extra special, always offering a listening ear and never forgetting a birthday or milestone. You were so very proud of all our accomplishments whether big or small, you were always our biggest cheerleader.

You will live on in our hearts through our memories and stories.

Bill’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

So many memories of my cousin Bill at my Uncle Ralph and AuntyNellie's farm, where I spent a great deal of my childhood. I'd sit on Bills back riding horse back! He was 8 years older than I but the age difference didn't hit me until I read he was 89 , almost ninety!! We send our deepest sympathy to all who are grieving their loss.

My big brother. I will miss you. Miss your phone calls and your opinions of the government. I loved your gentle side and your true love for your children and grandchildren.
