IAN NORMAN ALEXANDER SAYDACK

July 21, 1978 - April 5, 2022

With heavy hearts, we announce that Ian passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2022, at the age of 43 years.

He is survived by his children, Ashley and Owen; parents Richard and Denise; brother Craig; and many extended family and friends.

As a child growing up in the Maples, Ian was a typical Winnipeg boy who enjoyed playing hockey and long bike rides around the neighborhood getting into mischief with his friends. Ian graduated from Maples Collegiate and moved on to work at Fairview for many years.

As an adult Ian would say his biggest joy was his children. Ashley and Owen were the light of his life, and he would beam when speaking of them. One of Ian’s latest interests was motorbikes and motorcycles, recently purchasing the bike of his dreams. As we think of you now Ian, we hope you are racing down those golden roads with a smile on your face.

In Accordance with the families wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.

In the meantime, Ian's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

I remember Ian as a little boy. He was a sweet, curious little guy (think around 5years old or so.) You’re now with the angels Ian. Spread your wings and soar!❤️

Ian was my Brother, whom protected me like a sister. I loved him with all of my heart. I will always remember him dancing to “Dreams” by Gabriella.  Another memory was of him being so scared of our cat “Patches!” As soon as Ian would leave any room in our house, my cat would chase him, on his side, with his hair standing straight up, tail fluffy, and Ian would say “ that cat is nuts!”  Ian was such a great friend to me in the end, we attended many Conferences and meetings together! He was truly my little brother! Fly with the Angels my Bro! I know we will meet again one day! Just know that Ethan, Rob and I love you, and hope you are finally living a serine life up in God’s arms! Hope paradise treats you as good as you treated many others!❤
