David Schick

DAVID KYLE SCHICK
June 21, 1970 - August 8, 2025
It is heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of David Kyle Schick on Friday August 8, 2025 at the age of 55. David was predeceased by Edward & Lydia Schick / Edith & Alan Collins (Grandparents); Carrie Schick (Daughter); Clare Schick(Father).
David son of Gwen Gibson (Ron) and Clare Schick (Bev) was the youngest of four siblings, (Darrell, Debbie, Deanna). He was a father, a brother, a son, and a friend. He loved telling jokes, making you laugh, and always had his funny sayings or nicknames for his friends and family.
David loved all whole heartedly. He was proud of growing up in the North End, and his success that followed.
He attended Ralph Brown and St. John High in which he enjoyed playing sports such as: Basketball, Hockey, and running short & long distance. David as a child frequently loved swimming and riding his bike.
David had the “Schick” charm which served him well as a top salesman at Polar Windows in the mid 2000’s. In which he received multiple awards for sales. He worked hard and built many relationships.
David was a father at a young age to his first born child Kayla (35). He was later blessed with two sons, Anthony (28) and Nathan (20). He was very proud of the successfulness of all his children, and he would be quick to tell you this.
David always loved looking sharp. Often dressing in athleisure or formal clothing, and was often the best dressed in the room! He loved watching and attending sporting events such as football and hockey games. He was also known for his love of comedy and Christmas movies.
The family would like thank all who loved David during the toughest years of his life. A special thanks to his loving girlfriend that helped, loved, and supported him. His health struggles were many yet he faced them like a true champion filled with courage & strength.
Please feel free to share stories or support his family with words of hope.
David's memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, September 12, 2025 at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Facility). A private burial will be held at Brookside Cemetery.
