CORDELL FRANK SCHUMACK

January 15, 1984 - January 14, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce that Cordell Frank passed away on January 14th 2025 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 40.

Cordell is survived by his wife Jasmine of 12 years; their two children, Frank Cordell John and Christina Josephine Melvyne Schumack; his sister Melissa, and brother in law Blake Dewar, niece Emersyn, and nephew Hunter Dewar; his parents, Dell and Mel Schumack. His extended family includes many uncles, aunties, and Cousins from Calgary, AB and Tucson, Arizona.

Cordell is predeceased by his Baba Jean Herchak; Guida John Herchak; Grandpa Frank Schumack; and Mother In Law Josefina Presto.

Cordell and Jasmine got married on July 20th 2013, surrounded by their family and friends in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They had a love like no other. One that made time stop.

"They say when you meet

the love of your life,

time stops."

That's a quote from one of Cory's favourite movie, Big Fish. Cory would tell his wife and children every single day that he loved them; every chance he got. They knew every day just how much he loved them.

Together, Cordell and Jasmine have 2 beautiful children, Frank and Christina. Frank is the calm in the storm. Frank is quiet and kind just like Daddy; his favourite thing to do was watch YouTube or play video games with Daddy. Christina is a little wild firecracker. She is just like her Daddy; she loves telling jokes and watching scary movies. Her favourite thing to do was to watch a scary movie or play on the Nintendo Switch with Daddy.

Cordell found his true passion as an Educational Assistant. He worked in Evergreen School Division at Winnipeg Beach School, Gimli High School and at Sigurbjorg Stefansson Early School last year. He loved his job and he loved the staff and students that he worked with every day. Cordell was only 1 elective course and a Practicum away from graduating with his Educational Assistant Certificate from Red River College. He was so proud to be an EA and he was so happy to finally find what he was meant to do.

Here are some ways that you can

honour and remember Cory:

1. Watch a scary movie in October.

2. Enjoy a Starbucks Frappuccino (his go to order) or a French Vanilla from Tim Hortons (his all time favourite).

3. Send someone a funny reel or meme that reminds you of them, just to make them smile and laugh.

4. Tell someone that you love them. Tell them a lot, every chance you get.

5. Play the duck game at the Arcade.

6. Watch the movie Big Fish (his favourite movie).

7. Watch all 3 DeadPool movies (but not with children in the room).

8. Have tickle fights with your children right at the same time your partner is trying to settle them down and get to them to sleep.

9. Wear a graphic tee.

10. Tell someone that you love them. Tell them a lot, every chance you get.

"Goodnight my Love,

sweet dreams Babe,

I love you so much."

Cory was a great friend, he never stopped sending me the very best messages ❤️ and he truly loved his family.

We had just sent pictures back and forth from Deadpool 3 a few weeks back.

We all lost a truly good person.
