ALLEN RICHARD SEAVERS

January 6, 1961 - May 23, 2022

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Allen Richard Seavers. He peacefully departed his body on May 23, 2022 at the age of 61. Left remembering him are his wife of 31 years Kimberly, their 3 children Allen Jr, Kaitlynn and Taleigha; five grandchildren Claire, Nevaeh, Kyle, Abel and Priyan. His mother Sara, sisters Karen, Tina, Leanne Judy and brother Ray; many nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends and his best friend/cat Patches.

Allen was born on January 6, 1961 and grew up in Carberry, Manitoba. He was the third of seven children all of whom he would bug and "bully" endlessly. If you've known my dad as a child I'm sure you've experienced one of his good ol' wet willies! As an adult he was always a hard worker, no matter the occupation. Whether working security at the old Trisak building or working in a hospital morgue, to building with Pallister and renovating Manitoba Housing units. His passion was working with his hands and creating things, fixing things. Oftentimes duct tape was his go to, whether it be our shoes, jackets, holes or keeping a broken thing together a little longer. He was proud of where he came from and who raised him. He was proud of his past even though and especially because he was a little trouble maker, He loved telling his tales about almost meeting death's door countless times, all his wild days and about all his vehicles and the places he travelled to. He was just a nice soul to be around.

My dad had a big Irish smile and a twinkle in his eyes, a smile that could warm up any heart. No matter what life threw his way you could count on him to whip out one of his dad jokes. Oftentimes he used humour as a tool to cope with serious situations like when he went to the foot doctor for a check up and ended up coming home with a toe missing, he couldn't wait to walk in with his big grin and crack the " doctor had to call the toe truck" joke. My Mom did not find it funny at all but that was him always lightening tense situations with his childish satire. A rare soul, He was a gentle soul that you felt comfortable venting all your emotions too or just sitting in silence with. He was a great listener.

He was never a rich man and for that I was able to witness my parents faith in hard times and watch how God worked in providing for those who ask and wait on him. He was never quick to anger and often turned the other cheek. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him but I know in my spirit that he is now happy to be with his father Henry, his brother Ed and his first born son Joseph in peace and for that we can mourn with Jesus's comfort in all of our hearts and know we will all meet again someday.

Al's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

I've known the family for 22 years and I'm so going to miss Al bugging me and teasing me!  I'm very grateful that I was able to make it to the hospital just before you left your earthly body.  Going to miss you as a friend and miss your easy going personality 💔 Shelley Dykun

I remember some of those "death door meetings". He took me on a couple of them. I'm gonna miss him a lot. He was a great man and a loyal friend

This is very well written. I remember that time I went to the halloween party with Al, Kim and the girls. I just got my drivers and Al let me drive and even though I felt nervous he kept encouraging me. Al always greeted me with a smile he was a great man and loved his family very much. Your family is my prayers and thoughts during this time.
