MARY SEDUN

née SYROISZKA

March 27, 1927 - August 4, 2023

Mary was a beloved woman who was truly a gift. Her legacy will be her kind heartedness. She accepted everyone as they were with no pretense. Mary was not for want as she was grateful for what she had. She lived simply and loved completely.

Had she been able, she would have thanked all of those who helped with her care; Dr. W. Glew, Shaftesbury Park Retirement Residence, Home Care, Dr. J. Liu Cancer Care, Blossoms, Esther’s Group, Self and Family Managed Care, Palliative Care, Dr. M. Volpe and Riverview Palliative Care Unit. As her family, we sincerely thank you.

Mary’s presence has been pivotal in our lives and we are so proud and ever thankful for her and the comfort and care she gave us all.

Her late husband George, daughters Marilyn (Neil) and Sheryl (Andrew); grandchildren Honor (Niko), Leigh (Ryan), Adam (Ainsley), Peter (Carina) and Paul (Jess); and great grandchildren Aria, Noah, Isabell, Ellis, Ruby, Everly and Jacob - we love you dearly and hold you close in our hearts.

I remember the times of her sisters and brother when they got together. Lot's of laughter, happiness, Ukranian spoken and good food. Take care.

I will miss Aunt Mary though I mostly saw her when we were young and took trips to see the family in the West. I remember her being very welcoming and giving and look back at those times fondly. Certainly I had always kept an ear out over the years for what was happening with her and the family and was saddened by the news and at the same time glad she had a long life and time with her children and grandchildren. Take care to all the family I have seen so little in recent years, but think of often.

Aunt Mary was always a person I liked to visit, as a child and as an adult!  She was always cheerful, positive and like her mother, always made sure you were never hungry!  She will be missed on this earth but never forgotten!

We were to have Mary as our aunt. It’s so true that her legacy will be her kindheartedness because that’s what we saw 100% of the time. She will be greatly missed by all of us.💕💕
