ISOLDE SEHN

October 23, 1938 – July 6, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Isolde Sehn announce her passing on July 6, 2025, at the age of 86.

Isolde will be greatly missed by her children, Ursula (Tim), Peter (Debbie), and Harold (Diane); grandchildren, Victoria (Michael), Jennifer (Guillaume), Samantha (Scott); and her great-grandchildren, Landyn, Jack, and Hunter. As well as many family and friends in Germany, including her niece Inge, with whom she was very close. She was predeceased by her late husband Peter in November 2022.

Isolde was born in Ebingen, Germany, the youngest of six. It was in Germany where she met and fell in love with her husband, Peter, and they decided to spend their life together in Canada. They settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where they raised their family.

Isolde was known for having a playful, yet competitive nature. If she found herself losing in a game, she would jinx you, and when she was winning, she laughed. She also bowled for many years, earning many trophies.

Living in Charleswood, she had many good friends, many of whom she kept in touch with through the years. In the summers, all the ladies on the street would pack up the kids and take them camping. After the passing of her husband, Isolde moved into Devonshire. She enjoyed her time there, making many friends with the residents and staff.

We want to thank the caring doctors and staff at St. Boniface Hospital, the staff at Devonshire, and the home care workers who took such good care of Mom. There will be no service. Instead, we ask that you take the time to remember Isolde.

Isolde’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Fond memories of the good times spent with the Hilton Street neighbours. Those were the days, my dear friend. I will miss you always, Edith.
