CAROLE SMITH
(née McCombe)
October 23, 1943 – March 17, 2026
Carole Smith (née McCombe), born October 23, 1943, in Miniota, Manitoba, passed away gracefully on March 17, 2026, at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving family.
Carole was predeceased by her parents, Pauline and Merland McCombe; her sister, Mercia; her great-granddaughter, Avery; and son in law, Miles.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who deeply cherished her family. Carole found immense joy in watching each new generation grow, and nothing brought her greater happiness than welcoming her grandchildren and great-grandchildren into the world.
Her presence brought comfort, strength, and joy to all who knew her. She carried herself with grace and composure in everything she did and always made sure to look her very best even in her final days.
Carole will be lovingly remembered by her children: Sandi (Tom), Cheryl (Tim), Heather (Randy), Greg (Chantal), Shannon; and by her cherished grandchildren: Ryan (Ginger), Chris (Jess) Tyler, Megan (Scott), Justin, Michael, Jordan, Abby, Steven (Raven), Noah (Sage), and Kale (Lara); as well as nine great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Each of them will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
She was known for her gratitude, generous spirit, and warm sense of humour. Carole found joy in life’s simple pleasures such as spending time with family, reading, completing crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite television shows in the comfort of her cozy apartment. Her laughter, wisdom, and kindness will be remembered always.
Though she is no longer with us, the love she shared and the lessons she taught will continue to guide all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A small, private celebration of life will be held at the Willow Center, where Mom lived for many years and shared many cherished family gatherings and celebrations.
Mom,
You will be deeply missed,
forever loved,
and always remembered.
