GRANT SMITH

It is with profound sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Grant Allen Smith of Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 7, 2018.

Predeceased by his grandparents Marie and Garnet Smith, Grace and Earle Graham. He is survived by his parents Allen and Carole Smith, brother Scott, sister Sherri (Tara), niece Rowan, nephews Kane and Shepherd. He will be forever missed by his many uncles and aunts, cousins, friends, and Sherry and Mathew Ellis.

Grant grew up in St. James. He attended John Taylor High School, Red River College and the University of Manitoba. He was a fun-loving man with a hard exterior, soft heart and a great sense of humour. He had a love of animals, travel, football, hockey and hot sauce. He always kept his door open to others in need. As an accomplished professional accountant, he took intense pride in his work and nothing thrilled him more than tax season. Grant always sought the light and could bring about laughter in life’s darkest moments.

Service to be held at 2 p.m., June 15, 2018 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2400 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
