GLENN SPROULE

November 3, 1946 – June 8, 2025

It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Glenn Sproule (“Pa”) on June 8, 2025.

He will be missed by his loving wife, Eleanor; children, Graham (Cheryl), Adam, Ian (Jenny), Andrea (Jay), and Jenny (Steve); his beloved grandchildren, Hayley (Corey), Elizabeth, Leyna, Savannah, Grayson, Tucker, Vada, and Townes; and his great-grandchildren, Alex and Jakob. He will also be missed by his sisters, Gail and Patricia; his late brother Gary’s wife, Kathy; as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Glenn enjoyed an exciting and successful career as an independent Grain Futures Broker at the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange for 35 years before moving on to real estate and then retirement.

His pride and joy were his grandchildren, and all his grandkids loved their Pa. He loved watching all sports, especially his beloved Blue Jays. An avid bowler, Glenn enjoyed both playing and coaching throughout his life. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing cards with friends.

Glenn faced many health challenges over the past several years, but despite all this, he always looked on the bright side and was able to enjoy time with friends and family. We would like to thank all the doctors and health professionals who were a part of his care.

A private celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the HSC Foundation.

Glenn’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

I will never forget Glenn's smile. Having you two as my neighbours was the highlight of me living there. Seeing Glenn outside on the balcony soaking in the sun and enjoying himself never failed to make me smile.

Zeus loved Glenn as much as I did! I'll never forget how excited he would get to see him.

Eleanor and family, I am so so sorry for your loss!
