ELIZABETH STAPPLETON

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Elizabeth (Betty) Stappleton at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday January 14, 2023.

Betty was born in Manchester, England in 1932, and immigrated to Canada with her husband Les and their young son David in 1957. She made many lifelong friends through her work at the Southdale Kmart, and the many years she was involved with the baton and dance program at Winakwa Community Club. An avid seamstress and crafter, she enjoyed making clothes, costumes and crafts, and she participated in local craft sales for many years.

Betty is survived by her children, David (Frances), Barry (Michelle), Keith (Arlinda), and Heather (Ian), and her grandchildren Tyler, Kaelyn, Erin, Amanda and Ian. 

The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff from GH3 in HSC for the kindness and care provided to Betty in her time of need. 

Cremation has already taken place and in keeping with her wishes, no service will be held.
