RONNIE LYLE STENABAUGH

May 2, 1943 - December 6, 2019

Loving Husband of Shirley let go of his torment and went to meet our maker, December 6, 2019.

Ron was Born May 2, 1943 in St. Amelie, Manitoba. The family moved to Dauphin, Manitoba when Ron was a young boy, this is where he attended school.

Later in life he moved to Winnipeg, where he worked at Standard Aero Engine. It was there that he met Shirley, and three years later they were married.

The two moved to Alberta, where Ron worked for Pacific Western Airlines (now Air Canada). After a few transfers from Edmonton, to Calgary, and finally Vancouver he retired and they moved back to Manitoba.

Ron suffered with many health problems which indirectly came from diabetes, a disease he was diagnosed with in 1970. His health continued to decline as he got older.

He will be remembered by Shirley (with a broken heart) and his twin brother Donnie (Heather). His sisters; Lorna Larsen, Verna Black, and Mabel Kinsley. His In-Laws, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; George and Lydia, Sisters; Fern Porter, Myrtle Lozinski, and his Brother Lorne.

You are now at peace Ron, no more torment of the brain and body.

“You were the wind beneath my wings.”

When tomorrow starts with out me

Please try to understand

That an angel came and called my name

And took me by the hand

The angel said my place was ready

In heaven far above

And that I would have to leave behind

All those I dearly love

But when I walked through Heaven’s gates

I felt so much at home

For God looked down, smiled at me

And told me “Welcome Home”

So, when tomorrow starts without me

Don’t think we’re far apart

For every time you think of me

I’m right there in your heart

Uncle Ron! Thinking of you this December 06th 2020 and thankful you did not have to experience the indignities of  Covid-19. I (Harry) dreamt about you the other night! It was when we were living in Fort McMurray and went “fishing” at a creek near Anzac...we actually netted/snared the fish Lol  This holiday season has us thinking of the many great times we shared with you & Aunt Shirley including the Christmas’s in Fort Mac, Edmonton and Glecian  - great memories! We finds peace knowing you are in a better place, not in pain and with God. Always in our hearts, prayers, never forgotten - always remembered. All Our Love Harry, Marilyn & Family (your God-Daughter Jennifer, Nephew’s David & Danial and their respective families) ❤❤❤

Condolences to the Family, and to Shirley.   I remember working with Ron when at Edmonton Stores, and think I saw a picture of him with Paul Woods laughing it up.   He was always a honest and caring person.   He will be missed by all those people who knew him.
