SHARON HELEN TABAKA
(née HEALEY)
June 24, 1951 - September 20, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon at St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by her family and friends, and longtime friend and work associate, Pastor Randy Leavitt who gave a very personal heartfelt service prayer at her bedside.
Sharon is survived by her children, Rob (Michelle) and Tracy (Dan); grandchild Rylan; sisters, Sandra and Shirley (Bob); brothers, Doug (Cheryl) and Jim; as well as numerous nephews, nieces and relatives. She will also be greatly missed by some of her special friends that were in her life; Luis, Tamara (Tima), and Tammy (Butterball).
Sharon had such a unique quirky sense of humor which we all experienced at one time or another. For those that knew Sharon, knew that she should have bitten her tongue at times, but didn’t. There will never be another Sharon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Lillian Healey; her brother Ron; as well as her long-time companion, Tigger.
Sharon was born on June 24, 1951 to Stan and Lillian Healey in Winnipeg. She was one of nine children and grew up in the St. James area. Sharon was born three minutes behind her twin sister, Shirley. Sharon and Shirley were inseparable up to the day she passed.
She worked as a residential care worker for the Salvation Army for over 30 years, making many friends along the way. Sharon enjoyed her time even on challenging days.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the ICU unit at St. Boniface Hospital for taking care of her during her last few days.
In memory of Sharon, please join us from 2:00-4:00pm on Saturday, October 19, at the Winnipeg South Osborne Legion (426 Osborne Street) for her Celebration of Life.
Sharon’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

Sharon, I'll miss our long talks, jokes and laughter, here at The Colony, as we called it! 😉 Remember Binda? 😉 (our private joke)
Deepest condolences to you, Tracy, and all of Sharon's family.
With heartfelt sympathy.

Sha, my better half, my twin sis...when I see a pic of you or see something that reminds me of you or hear a particular song or go to do something that we always did together, it soothes me and reminds me of your laugh, smile and our special memories. Your working at the Salvation was such a great career choice because of your compassion/commitment for the disadvantaged. You had such a quirky sence of humour. Everyone who knew you experienced it or saw it. I am thankful there are no more tests, no more Dr. appointments, and lastly no more pain. So sorry I was not at your side when you passed, to comfort you and say how much I loved you. I miss you so much....my heart aches, no words can express how much. I know that you are truly at peace, R.I.P. until we meet again

My condolences Tracy to you and all of Sharon's family on the loss of your Mom. She definitely was one of a kind and will be remembered, I am sure, by many. I will always remember her with a smile for being kind and funny and just the right amount of whacky. Rest well Tweety Bird.
