Rick Taylor

JAMES (RICK) RICHARD TAYLOR
April 13, 1958 – February 22, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Richard (Rick) Taylor, age 67, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He leaves to mourn his wife Marlene; sons, Mathew (Dawn) and Andrew (Kristin); daughter Heather; and his grandchildren, Maddison, Logan, Kian, Lilianna and Willow, whom he dearly loved.
Rick worked for Winnipeg Transit as a bus driver until his retirement. He was known as a friendly driver who enjoyed when his children and grandchildren would visit him on his route.
Rick had a passion for tropical fish which led him to become an active member of the Aquarium Society of Winnipeg. He enjoyed fishing at the lake, travelling to Mexico, as well as playing cards and working on vehicles. He also enjoyed attending concerts with his niece.
Rick enjoyed spending time with family and being there for his grandchildren whenever they needed him. Those who knew Rick, would know that a joke was never far behind when together.
Rick will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26th, 2026 at Winakwa Community Club, 980 Winakwa Rd.

My sincere sympathy to Marlene and family in the passing of Rick. I know Rick always enjoyed life and certainly loved all his family so very much. He was a great brother-in-law and although we did not see each other often, he and his brother Ed, always spoke on their birthdays and Christmas. Rick is gone way too soon, but memories will last a lifetime.
