RUTH MURIEL TERON-SNOW

It is with deep sadness and profound love that we announce the peaceful passing of Ruth Muriel Teron-Snow on June 11, 2026.

Ruth was born on December 2, 1949, to Eva Seniuk and Mike Teron. A hard-working woman her entire life, Ruth dedicated her career to various food industries. She always went above and beyond for everyone she met, especially her children. No matter how busy life became, she ensured there was always food on the table, clean sheets at night, and a heartfelt "I love you" to close every evening.

Ruth possessed an endless love for animals, particularly her cats. She had a remarkable talent for training them to fetch and return toys, rewarding them with a humorous "shake-a-paw" trick that left other cat owners laughing in awe. Her festive spirit shone brightest during Halloween, where she loved to dress up in homemade costumes and elaborate makeup. She took great joy in decorating her front deck to create the spookiest house on the block, ensuring the brave trick-or-treaters who made it to her step walked away with loads of candy.

In her younger years, Ruth was a vibrant athlete, playing as an amazing baseball player for the all-women's fastball team, The Rowdies, and enjoying weekly bowling league nights. Many of her happiest memories were made camping at St. Ambroise. Driven by her proud Ukrainian heritage, Ruth loved cooking, barbecuing, and baking for her family, particularly during the holidays. Her legendary homemade cabbage rolls and ham were so delicious that no one could eat just one plate.

Ruth had a passion for movies and music, with Elvis Presley being her absolute favorite. When she was able, she could truly dance the socks off anyone in the room. In her later years, she found peace in life's simple pleasures: gardening, canning her own vegetables and jams, and spending quiet time with her husband and her beloved cats. Even in the face of difficult times, Ruth maintained an incredibly positive attitude, always finding a way to make people giggle and smile with her wonderfully goofy sense of humor.

Ruth has been reunited in peace with her three beautiful sisters, Patricia, Grace, and Vicki.

Her legacy of love lives on through her husband, Richard Snow; her three children, Bruce, Scott (Hope), and Candace (Chris); her youngest sister, Joy; and her three cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephen, and Arianna. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly and will miss her deeply.

The family extends their most heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the Grace Hospital ICU Unit. Their extraordinary compassion and care given to both Ruth and her family went above and beyond, and it will never be forgotten. Thank you to everyone. Thank you to My Husband Chris and Cousin Brenda for all the amazing support and being by Mom’s side holding her hand making her feel safe and loved and thank you to all those that reached out to our Family to express your condolences and offers of support.

The family will not be holding a formal funeral service. Instead, a small Celebration of Life in honour of Ruth will take place at a later date, with details to be announced.
