Monique was born in Winnipeg, growing up in Charleswood. She found her love of travel at an early age, travelling across Canada and the United States with her family. As the years passed she took a Caribbean cruise, warm winter vacations and visited over 40 countries around the world with her favorite being Egypt and making new friends everywhere she went.
Her loves didn't end with travelling, she also enjoyed reading, knitting, music, tap dancing and cross stitching.
Monique will be remembered by all as a kind, caring and generous person. She was always ready to talk, listen, offer advice and help with whatever you needed.
We would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital 5th floor units 4 and 7 for their kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
A private family interment is to be held and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

My sincere condolences to Monique's family. Monique and I met about thirty years ago through work. At least once a year, four of us friends would get together for a round of golf, dinner or both. Monique always had the best suggestions of which restaurant we should try. She was a very kind person who was always there for her friends. I will miss her.

My condolences to the family,. Monique and I met through work. We remained friends and tried to get together at least once per summer for a round of golf. All of us in the foursome got at least one mulligan; after the round when we forgot to bring a score card it became tradition not to keep score. After all, it was about the companionship. When golf didn't work out, we'd meet up for dinner. Never the same place - needed to try new eating adventures. Monique had a way of making everyone's day brighter. I will miss her.
