Hans Thieme

HANS THIEME
December 27, 1937 – June 15, 2024
With sorrow, we announce the passing of Hans Thieme on Saturday, June 15, at the Victoria Hospital.
Hans was born in Mannhiem, Germany and moved to Winnipeg in 1961.
A machinist by trade in the 1970s, and with his partner, he opened Hydra Bore and Machine LTD. His passion was to develop specialty tools and techniques to get jobs done that other companies could not achieve.
Hans enjoyed the later part of his life going to the Rockwood and spending time with his friends.
He lived a very colourful life with many ups and downs. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. We would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff for the wonderful care given to Hans.
Hans’ family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
