DOLORES MARIE THIESSEN

March 25, 1968 – January 5, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dolores Marie Thiessen (Dee) on January 5th, 2026. Mom passed away peacefully at home.

Dee is survived by her husband Joe; her children, Nicole, Arron (Azora) Adrian (Michelle), and Joe Jr (Christine); her grandchildren, Koltyn, Brianna, Chloe, Dominic, and Chase; her mother Lena; brothers, Dennis (Audrey), Norman, Tim; and her sister Roxi.

She is predeceased by her father Jacob; and nephew Tyler.

Dee was born March 25, 1968 at Grace Hospital to her parents Jake & Lena. She spent her childhood growing up in MacGregor where she graduated from MacGregor Collegiate.

In February 1989 she married Richard and in November 1989 they were blessed with their daughter Nicole. 11 months later they were blessed with twins Arron & Adrian.

Things changed and she moved to Winnipeg where she met her new husband Joe and they spent a wonderful 32 years together.

Mom was a social butterfly and always had a smile and kind words for everyone she met. Working in the customer service & food industry, she always believed her customers were like her extended family and treated them as such. Whether they just needed a smile and a bright "Good Morning!" or a minute to talk, she made everyone feel special.

Mom had a love of gardening and was always excited to show off a new flower that bloomed or how tall her potato plants were getting.

Mom loved to crochet and was always able to find time to make a baby blanket for an expectant friend or clothes for her Shirley doll, or a jacket for their dog. Ever the enthusiast, she was so proud to call and say "Hey, I learned this new stitch, I can't wait to show you!"

Her family can attest to her love of painting, from restoring garden gnomes and lawn ornaments to redecorating the house. She was so proud of the beauty she helped create and loved to share pictures of her work.

Mom loved to cook and was always ready to share her recipes and the end results with her family and friends.

Mom was a biker babe at heart and loved to go for rides, sometimes with the dog in the saddlebag too! The journey to Alberta with Joe was one she treasured and she was looking forward to making another bike trip in the coming years.

Mom was truly an incredible and inspiring woman who will be missed by many!

A private viewing for the family will be held, with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.

Dee was a gem of a lady! Knew her for many years while working nightshift. Dee knew just how I liked my coffee and would have it ready even before I made it into the coffee shop. Dee was always in an upbeat mood even at 4am...our son even became good friends with her daughter Nicole. Sincere condolences to Dee's family. She will be soroley missed, but left us all with warm memory's. God speed Dee! Until we meet again.
