Diana Thomas

In Loving Memory of
DIANA VERA THOMAS
(née Lawrynuik)
February 17, 1954 – August 29, 2025
It is with profound sorrow that we remember Diana Vera Thomas, whose warmth and devotion touched everyone she encountered. As a loving wife to Warren, a proud mother to Genafer and David, and grandmother to Ainsley, Grayson, Edwyn, and Mackenzie, her spirit endures in the memories she created and the love she gave—even though she has passed from this world.
Diana’s unwavering love never depended on perfection or proximity—it simply was. Even when health challenges kept her from being physically present, her care and devotion remained. Every phone call, every note, every shared laugh carried the same promise: she was always with us in spirit.
Behind Diana’s gentle smile lay remarkable resilience. In the face of health struggles, she chose positivity over surrender and grace over complaint. Her quiet strength taught us to find dignity in adversity and hope in each new day.
Diana embraced life’s simple and grand pleasures alike, illuminating the beauty in every detail.
Diana could easily connect with people—whether through a warm conversation, a shared laugh, or a quiet moment of understanding.
She had an eye for fashion and a love for gardening, often finding beauty in the details others might overlook.
Her adventurous spirit led her to explore places like Mexico, Las Vegas, Florida, and cruise destinations—collecting stories and memories along the way.
Her creativity came alive in the kitchen, where she cooked food that will always be remembered or replicated.
Music was a constant companion in Diana’s life. A devoted fan of various artists, she let their songs fill her home and lift her spirits, especially during Christmas, her favorite time of year. Christmas morning never started without either the Boney M or Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers album. Those holiday gatherings, wrapped in music and love, became treasured memories for all who shared them.
In Diana’s memory, may we all strive to love with unwavering devotion, face our challenges with quiet strength, and celebrate life’s simple joys with boundless grace.
Her love lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.”
— Helen Keller

I tried to find the recipe for liver and onions, it's here somewhere. One of the many things Diane shared with me among many bits of advice. Always remembered.
