SARAH TOEWS

It is with great sadness that the family of Sarah Toews announces her passing on February 28, 2023.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Evelyn, Martha, Edna, Linda, and Gladys Toews; as well as her brothers Jim, Carl and Elmer Toews, and her niece Cindy Penner. Sarah was predeceased by her parents George and Lena Toews, sister and brother-in-law Violet and Emery Tetrault; and niece Eva Tetrault.

Sarah was born on March 12, 1948 in Sioux Lookout Ontario. The family moved to Greenland, Manitoba where Sarah spent her childhood and went to school. Her family in Steinbach was important to her and she always spent Christmas there.

Sarah spent her working life in the restaurant business and retired after working many years at her best job: Chicken Chef.

She was a friendly soul and enjoyed banter with both co-workers and customers. According to Sarah’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her life will take place June 17, 2023.
