Although I have not seen Carmela for many years, memories of her are such a part of my youth that I can remember her as clearly as if she were in the room with me now. For years, as a friend of Phil's, I was the recipient of her care and love -- every visit to the Torchia home meant plates and plates of wonderful food, prepared on the spot. "Mangia, Mac, mangia!" Like a second family, I often feel that I experienced the immigrant experience more through my time with the Torchia's than with my own family and the lessons learned through that have stayed with me for a lifetime. Love to the entire family as they celebrate Carmela's beautiful life and love.

Our condolences to the family. Carmela was a gentle and caring woman. Each year my wife and I looked forward to our winter trips to warm places with Tony and Carmela, a gracious and fun couple. We shared stories of our traditions growing in Miglierina including our love of gardening and family gatherings..

My mother, Eleanor & I wish to extend our deepest sympathy and prayers for Antonio and family. My parents and younger siblings had the pleasure of being next door neighbours to Carmela, Antonio, and their children. Garden produce was shared and favours were done for each other as needed. May she rest in God's loving care.

So many wonderful memories of this amazing lady! She exuded pure joy and love to everyone around her. I was blessed to be on the receiving end of that love for so many years, and to know my children had the best Nonna ever! Thinking Of All The Torchia Family today with sincere condolences..💐
