MILES TOWLE

September 6, 1966 – December 9, 2025

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Miles Towle at the age of 59 years old.

Miles leaves to mourn his partner of 14 years Shannon Cecotka; his sons, Lyle Towle (Darla) and Luke Towle; daughter Allison Towle; as well as three stepsons, Steven Cecotka (Raven), Noah Cecotka (Sage) and Kale Cecotka (Lara). He also leaves to mourn his much-loved grandkids, Layla, Grayson, Dane, and the little one on the way. He will be deeply missed by his treasured friends, the Lavallee family, Wilfred, Myrna, Channing, Chelsea and Christie. He will also be deeply missed by his mother-in-law, Carole Smith, and his many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Miles was truly an outdoor man and was almost never seen without a bow and arrow in his hands. He loved to fish, to hunt, to walk the trails and to shoot his arrows. Miles spent most of his free time in the city with his good friends at the 17 wing archery club. Weekends were spent between the farm at Lavenham and our cottage at Grindstone. Miles had a larger-than-life presence that touched many people. Miles wasn't a man to mince words. He said what he wanted. He always spoke his truth and you always knew where he stood. Miles got his class one driver’s license this past year as he looked for a change of career. He did not get to drive for long, but he enjoyed the time that he did have driving his semi...

Miles was funny, sarcastic, and could come across as quite tough. However, I know him to be a big teddy bear, although he wouldn't appreciate me saying that. He was a true and loyal friend and partner. He will be so greatly missed, but did promise me I would have the biggest baddest guardian angel in heaven.

Thank you to health sciences centre GD6 for all the care and compassion you showed him and thank you to the Grace hospice for taking care of Miles in his final days.

Thank you to all the friends and family that supported us in so many ways. I know that Miles was touched and appreciated every one of you.

You will always be missed

and never forgotten

until we meet again.

We will love you forever.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your partner, dad, stepdad, grandpa and uncle. May grief turn to happy memories in the days ahead!

I meet Miles when I lived in Lavenham as a child, I lived on the first st and he lived on the last st. I would hang out with Lyle and Luke when they would visit in the summer. Even when they would leave he would always talk to me and ask me how I am doing. there was also a time my grandpa really wanted a deer but could no longer hunt, Miles said buy the tag and he would handle the rest. I still remember pulling up to the shed in my moms vehicle and Miles shoving a whole deer carcus into the trunk/back seat putting the head right beside me and told me to keep an eye on it as it might lick me haha Was a good way to tramatize a 13 year old but was a good laugh.

Now as an adult the last time I seen Miles he looked straight at me and smiled and said your Crystal and we chatted for awhile. I haven't seen him since he moved to Winnipeg, but will always remember the moments of talking with him.
