Terry Unger

TERRY LYNN UNGER
(née Young)
August 18, 1966 – December 12, 2025
On December 12, 2025 after a lengthy illness Terry Lynn Unger (née Young) passed away at the age of 59 years. She was married to Ron Unger for over 20 years who unfortunately passed away March 2025.
Terry was born on August 18, 1966 and grew up in the Elmwood area. She attended Lord Selkirk Elementary School and Elmwood High School. Terry was a gifted athlete excelling at ringette, hockey, sponge hockey and baseball. She later enjoyed playing golf.
Terry lived the majority of her life in the Elmwood and East Kildonan areas. She worked for various employers from CIBC and the Northwest Company to River East Transcona School Division.
Terry loved to socialize and enjoy a few beverages with friends. She also loved her cats and was known as the cat lady in her neighbourhood. "Frankie" and "Trapper" were her two most recent favorite four-legged friends.
Special thanks goes to her friend "Deena" who spent many weekends staying with Terry.
Friends and family are encouraged to meet on Thursday, March 12th at 6:00 p.m. at the Curtis Hotel on Henderson to share a drink in Terry's honor.

You Frequently made me laugh. I can still remember babysitting and you showed up at the door with a creepy Halloween mask on. You scared the crap out of me!
