I’m not sure exactly when I met your mother, but it would’ve been at the Lakeshore SD office.  I do recall how she made me feel so welcomed and that helped me feel confident attending meetings at the board office. I loved her humour.  I also love how she raised such polite and creative children.  Betty will be missed and fondly remembered by many.

Betty's memory will live on in all of us.  She was a special lady: caring, energetic, creative and a wonderful story teller.  Her stories about her many adventures were always hilarius because she always saw the humour in every situation. Our deepest condolences to the family whom she loved dearly and her friends who will miss the smile and laughter.

Betty was my first ever Manitoba friend. She was very kind to me when I first went to work at the Lakeshore School Division. One day she said, “You need friends your own age.” And then she introduced me to Jackie, who has become a best friend. I will always thank Betty for that and her many kindnesses over the years. I think we hit it off so well because of her quirky sense of humour and her willingness to call a spade a spade. I have so many fond memories of Betty from our trip to Mexico and more recently Hecla. I’m so happy I got to see her last summer. More recently, we had been texting about hockey and comparing her Jets to my Penguins. I will always think of Betty when checking the hockey scores! She was the proud matriarch of her very talented and artistic family, which was evident whenever she talked about her children and grandchildren. You will be missed dear Betty❤

Everyone should have a friend like betty.  She could make you laugh and she could comfort you about your troubles no matter how trite.   She was so easy to get to know, and made a great cup of coffee.  She will be very much missed.  rest in peace dear friend.
