TERRY DOUGLAS WALTERS
July 2, 1976 - January 18, 2025
It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Terry Douglas Walters. Born July 2, 1976 Terry was 48 when passed at his home outside of Teulon, MB on January 18, 2025.
Terry will be missed by his wife Natalie and daughter Ariel (brother Nick), parents Bev & Clint Walters, brother Clint Jr (Pam), Grandma Phylis, Uncle Doug, Uncle Vic, parents-in-law Rose (Ma) & Albert (Pa) Overwater, Mike Overwater, Brothers-in-law Jason (Alison), David (Courtney), Steven (Shalisa), sisters-in-law Theresa (Tim), Katie, Nieces Alyssa, Megan, Charley, Makenna, Mae, Nephews Riley, Tyler, Kenny.
Terry was a loving father to Ariel and a devoted husband to his wife Natalie; a great son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, grandson, uncle, nephew and godfather.
He had a wonderful outlook on life and always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye, which he’s passed on to Ariel.
Terry grew up in Westwood living on Kirkfield Street with his family while attending Lincoln and Sturgeon Creek schools.
An avid outdoorsman, Terry enjoyed hunting and fishing. A love he learned from his Grandpa Art and Uncle Doug who taught him everything he knew. As a young child Terry couldn’t wait for Fridays when his Grandpa Art would pick him up to go to Ridgeville and go hunting together with Uncle Doug. From 6 years old launching the skeet shooter until 16 when he shot his first buck, and later building the Ridgeville hunting camp with Uncle Doug for family and friends to enjoy. Hunting and fishing was a passion that he liked to do with his little buddy Nick.
From his early teens on Terry would spend time at the family cottage at Laclu Ontario, where he worked with his brother & his dad to transform his parent’s old cottage into a new home. He especially enjoyed taking Ariel boating, fishing and cliff jumping when they were there and going for pontoon rides with family & friends.
Terry met his wife Natalie, in St James, through mutual friends in 2002. In 2006 Nat & Terry had Ariel, were married in 2007 and their family was complete. Terry has been a devoted father since the day Ariel was born - Ariel was his pride and joy. He’d take her snowmobiling, fishing, quadding every chance he had and later included his little buddy Nick in his adventures. Terry couldn’t have been prouder when Ariel graduated high school and he was looking forward to seeing all she would accomplish.
Terry fit into the Overwater family like the piece they didn’t know was missing. Rebuilding sleds and various projects with Pa at the shop, playing pool with Mike, doing books with Ma (because he had to, not that he liked it), boating, sledding and hanging out with the boys. He made every family dinner complete.
Terry started his company, the TW Windows & Doors we all know, where he would even take Ariel to work with him on occasion.
Terry was so happy to be able to take Ariel on her first snowmobile poker derby in Lac Lu, Ontario.
There was nothing Terry wouldn’t do for Ariel, including jumping out of a perfectly good airplane for her 18th birthday. Looks like he’s off the hook for bungee jumping.
Terry & Nat bought their property outside of Teulon, MB after he shot his prize winning buck in 2017, featured in Boon & Crockett’s Big Game Awards.
He’d stay on the property for hunting, inviting many friends to join him and the campers started arriving. The RM was surprised to learn the campers were all from friends and family and he was not operating a campground. Many summer nights were spent around the bonfire, watching the sun come up and in the small cabin he built on Ball Sac Cul-de-sac. After the cabin burnt down, Terry & Nat started the plans for their dream home in earnest.
The life of the party, Terry had a charm & personality that made you feel special. So many were lucky to call him friend.
Terry worked tirelessly to build a dream home for Nat & Ariel. He had so many plans to turn their place into a real Walters Wonderland.
So many family, friends and neighbours dedicated their time building the cabin, digging the pond, building the house and pitching in, just to enjoy spending time with Terry, Nat & Ariel. Terry was always sure to text his Mom & Dad updates on all his hard work.
Terry was so proud of Ariel and all her hard work. He loved his wife, often crediting her for his successes. The way he told a story, his light and laughter cannot be replaced.
Nat and Ariel would like to extend a special thank you to all of their friends and family that have been there for them in this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life for Terry will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Terry, Natalie, and Ariel’s home in Teulon, with a light dinner to follow. Please contact the family directly for further details.
Terry’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

I'm shocked and so sorry to hear this, Terry installed many windows in several of our houses over the years and was always very freindly and professional, clearly a great guy who was very proud of his daughter especially! He also always told us about his hunting pursuits and he was so excited about their new place in Teulon. Natalie even came aliong to one of our installs and our heart breaks for her and their daughter and the rest of their family.

I met Terry a number of Years ago when Rose and Albert Overwater recommended him as a Contractor to Replace
the Exterior Doors and Windows at our Home.. When Terry
arrived he Immediately Greeted with a Smile and a Welcoming
Handshake. We agreed on the work to be done. The Replacement process Terry was just as Friendly as the first encounter. Thru the Years our paths would cross at varouus get togethers. We would chat about Hunting and Fishing etc. which were definitely two of his favourite subjects. Every time We met Terry would Always make Me feel like a true Friend. I and Many others will Truely miss You Friend

I carry with me very fond memories of growing up around The Walters. Terry and I were close in age, I remember Hecla and what felt like growing up every summer in LacLu with my family and his. Endless hours playing hide and seek in the dark, cliff jumping, fishing all the while surrounded by our families. My condolences go out to Terry's mom and dad, Beverly and Clint as well as his brother Clint Jr. And of course his wife and daughter. I had moved away before he got married and started the next chapter in his life, but if it was anything like his youth, it was brilliant I am sure. I will be sure to make the trip back to LacLu and pay my respects and have e a visit next time I am back home.

My heart breaks for Natalie , Ariel, Bev , Clint, and his brother Clint. and to everyone that knew Terry.
He was my cousin and he meant the world to me and my kids. He was one remarkable man with a heart of gold.
I will always cherish all the summers we hung out together. Whenever we seen each other you always made me feel welcomed. The love that you gave to both of my kids will never be forgotten.
You will always be missed but never forgotten.
Until we meet again.

My heart breaks for Terry's family. He and his brother, Clint, and his parents, Bev and Clint lived next door to my grandparents for years. We used to play together and raid my grandparents pantry for cookies. Terry, more recently, installed our new doors. He was so polite, considerate and professional. He spoke of his daughter and wife so lovingly with a huge smile on his face during our chats while he was at my home. Rest in peace, Terry.

Although I hadn't seen Terry since he was a boy, I have fond memories of him as he & his family lived next door to my grandparents. Terry & Clint Jr were often knocking on their door for a cookie fix. My deepest condolences to Bev, Clint, Clint Jr & all who loved Terry.
