Henderson Waltrous

HENDERSON WALTROUS
October 4, 1942 – November 5, 2025
Henderson Waltrous passed away peacefully at home with family by his side after a short courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his loving wife Yvonne Waltrous parents Coral Knight and Ernest George Knight (stepfather), Granville Carter (father), sisters Daphne, Eudora, and brother Theo.
He will be lovingly be remembered by his children Jillian and Ashley Waltrous. Dear brother and sister Vere and Ornella. Sister in laws Margaret Knight and Donita Knight and Roy Stoute and Cardinal Hinds (deceased) brother in laws.
Brother-in-law to Barbara Howard (Emerson Howard), Clymene Thornhill (Trevor Thornhill), Denise Moore, Eugene Haynes (Gorden Haynes both deceased) and Wilma Moore (deceased).
He was the uncle of Shirlene, Marvan (Laurie, Joshua, Theo), Cory, Chris, and many nieces and nephews.
Cousins to the Nicholls, Farley, and many others.
Dear friend of Oneal Harvey, Richard Jeffers, and many more.
Henderson came to Canada from Barbados in April 1970.
Henderson will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He was a generous man, with a fun-loving spirit with a story to tell which endeared him to all.
Very special thanks to the Palliative Care Team and the WRHA Home Care Team.
A celebration of Henderson’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 28th, 2025, at 603 Wellington Crescent (First Unitarian Facility).

It's so hard when a parent passes on, because they teach you lessons about life with love and kindness from day one. Though they may physically leave us, they will forever be part of our heart and soul. Know that our thoughts are with you.
