ANTHONY (TONY) WARD

March 5, 1949 – July 8, 2026

Anthony (Tony) Ward, age 77, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away peacefully on July 8,2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Tony was predeceased by his parents Norman and Eileen, and his younger brother Peter.

Tony was born March 5, 1949 in Winnipeg. In his teens and early 20’s, he played various instruments and sang in local classic rock bands. One of his greatest joys was playing and singing with Terri Crawford band. He went on to work different sales jobs. Everything from cars to vacuums. He loved interacting with people!

In February 1982, Tony met Denise. After a whirlwind courtship, they were married July 9,1982. It was love at first sight, evident to anyone who knew them.

Tony loved music! He wrote and recorded many songs, with his best buddy Darrell. Many happy hours were spent together creating beautiful music. He was truly happy with a guitar in his hands! He enjoyed playing cards and board games with his family. Tony was a long time snooker and pool player, and an avid Winnipeg Jets fan!

Tony is survived by his wife Denise; children, Aaron, Selina (Scott), Brett (Rhonda); and grandchildren, Austin, Addison and Brielle. He is survived by his siblings, Allan (Rhodina), Valerie (Mike), Ann, Janice, and many family and friends.
