PATRICIA MARGARET WATKINS

(née ARSENAULT)

July 7, 1945 - April 9, 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia on April 9, 2022, at the age of 76 years.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband James. She will be lovingly remembered by her son James (Linda); daughter Kimberley (Paul); grandchildren, Megan (Ryan) and Jack; and great-grandpuppies, Cooper and Wally. She will also be missed by her family, extended family and friends.

Mom stayed home with us, until we started school, while Dad worked. Then Patricia worked a few jobs, where she made numerous friends. She always kept in touch with co-workers long after leaving the workplaces. Mom was genuinely interested in people and their lives. Later in life, Patricia decided to follow her passion for helping people and became a certified Health Care Aide. Mom's determination during her studies and pride in her accomplishment were inspirational.

She will be remembered for her love, generosity and caring for her family and friends, especially her children, grandchildren and many family dogs. Her grandchildren always left the house with a "little something for you" to get themselves a treat.

Mom always remembered people's birthdays and called them to sing every year. Her desire to make people feel special on their day is a tradition that we will carry on.

Mom loved time with family and enjoyed many “road trips”. The Grand Canyon and her love of Las Vegas are treasured memories. Weekend drives out to Lockport to Half Moon and sitting down by the water eating hot dogs/fries or a breakfast at Sal's were a few of Mom's favorite things to do.

Patricia was loved and will be missed by her many friends and family. Thank you for being such a wonderful Mom!

Interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery at a later date. In the meantime, Patricia’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

We would like to thank the wonderful and compassionate nurses/health care aids who cared for Mom with a genuine loving spirit.

My condolences to Jim, Kim and their families. Pat and I started out as coworkers and became good friends for over 40 years. I will miss our our 2 hour phone conversations and will definitely miss the birthday singing especially this year.  Pat always kept me up to date with what was going on with other coworkers and friends and she truly cared for each and every one of them. I love you and will miss you. RIP Pat  Shelly

Losing Pat has left a huge empty space in my life. We would talk for hours about anything and everything. She was a kind soul with a big generous heart. I will miss her tremendously. Rest In Peace Pat. Love, Sandra

Thank you to Jim, Kim and their lovely families who took such wonderful care of  their mom, grandma and our auntie Pat.  She was a special lady and  I am so thankful to have many wonderful memories of her. Like the time, we were all visiting with grandma at a summer BBQ. I can still remember how she  laughed loud and cheered the kids on as they were bobbling for apples!  Way to go Megan!!!  I loved her enthusiasm, her spirit and her sharp Wit!  I looked forward to seeing her at the many family events, weddings, birthdays and showers. I always enjoyed our conversations and her great sense of humour. It makes me smile, thinking of those times now.  She cared deeply for her family, friends and always looked for ways to treat others.  Like the time we invited her to girls night at Johnny’s restaurant and before we know it, she had paid everyone’s bill!  Like I said, she was a special lady and She will be missed very much. ❤

Auntie Pat had a kind and generous heart. You could count on a call on your birthday followed by a song.  When you went to the house you were greeted with “ You want a cup of coffee “. She will be missed.  Love Always  Joanne
