DENNIS FRANK WEAKLEY

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Dennis Weakley, who passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, at the age of 78.

Dennis will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his son, Dustin; his daughter, Adra (Ryan); his granddaughters, Jessica (Mike), Madison, and Isla; his great-grandchildren, Noah and Juliette; his sister, Brenda (Alan); his brother, Tim (Barb); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Dennis was born in Winnipeg on March 27, 1948, to Albert and Josephine Weakley (Caito). In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball, archery, golfing, and spending countless hours hunting with his father and uncles. Some of his happiest childhood memories were made during summers spent at his grandparents' cottage in Matlock.

In 1975, Dennis married Caroline (Lehman), and together they welcomed their son, Dustin, in 1976, followed by their daughter, Adra, in 1981. While they later went their separate ways, they maintained a caring and respectful friendship, continuing to share many family milestones together.

Dennis's greatest joy was his children and grandchildren. He devoted countless hours to coaching his children in sports and was always ready to drive them—and often their friends—wherever they needed to go. Family summers at the cottage in Matlock created cherished memories that will be treasured forever, as did the many family vacations spent exploring Western Canada.

Dennis dedicated 38 years of service to the Manitoba Liquor Commission before retiring in 2003. Throughout his career, he formed many lifelong friendships that he valued greatly.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many home care workers who provided Dennis with exceptional care over the years. We would also like to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses, and support staff at St. Boniface Hospital Emergency Department for their compassion, kindness, and care during his final hours.

In keeping with Dennis's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family gathering will be held to celebrate his life.
