ROSEMARY SARAH LILLIAN WLADYKA

It is with great sadness that we are announcing that our beloved Rosemary Sarah Lillian Wladyka unexpectedly passed away on the early morning of July 16, 2023, with her beloved family by her side at the St Boniface Hospital.

Left to mourn her tragic loss are her children, Deborah (Robert), Robert (Fatima), Brenda (Randy), Joyce, and David (Roberta) along with her sisters Gloria and Judy, brothers Wayne (Selda) and Ralph (Susan) along with so many of loving grandchildren and great grandchildren all of which mourn her untimely passing.

She will also be so tragically missed by her many friends especially Joanne (Ron), Leeha (John), Cheryl, and Gwen (Pete) and by her many neighbors all of which her cared about and loved over the years.

She will be especially missed by her ever devoted and loving husband William who worshipped the ground she walked upon over their 52+ years together.

Rosemary was born in Nova Scotia and came from a large family and had 11 siblings. She was kind, warm, loving and a very giving person and was so very proud of all her children. She worked hard but always made time for her family, friends, and all the people and special times in her life.

She will always be forever remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend by so many. She loved to watch and look after the many wild little creatures that forever inhabited her backyard and virtually had names for almost all of them.

She worked alongside her husband for many years but still had time to undertake several successful additional careers over the years such as becoming a real-estate agent and even a motel manager for a time.

She was the Director of Student Services for the Fit For Life® Sciences Institute and The College of Natural Health where she helped, aided, and mentored literally hundreds of students/clients from all over the world to graduate and excel in the fields of natural health and the hygienic sciences.

The family would like to thank the staff at St Boniface Hospital and the emergency responders that got her there for their wonderful, immediate, and compassionate care.

To respect Rosemary’s stated wishes there will be no formal services or funeral. In lieu of flowers donations could be made in her name to any no-kill animal shelter rescue or humane society, or to the Canadian Lung Association.

ROSEMARY’S LAST WISH

When I am gone, release me, let me go.

I have so many things to see and do,

You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears;
Be happy that we had so many years

I gave to you, my love; you can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.

I thank you for all the love you each have shown,
But now it’s time I traveled on alone.

So, grieve for a while for me if grieve you must;
Then let your grief be comforted by trust,
It's only for a while that we must part,
So bless the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on;
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear

All of my love around you soft and clear.
And then when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and say: "Welcome Home".

PLEASE REST IN PEACE

MY LOVELY AND LOVING WIFE.

Rosemary worked for me in the Royal Lepage office I managed in the Fort Richmond mall.  She was a fun and friendly part of our office.  A true professional when it came to her real estate clients, she was well respected by her peers. My condolences to her family on her passing.

We were so saddened to hear of Rose’s passing.  A great neighbour and friend, we enjoyed exploring many of Winnipeg’s restaurants with Rose and Bill.  She  was always so full of life and ready to meet life head on.  The world is a lesser place without her lively spirit, infectious laughter and guiding hand.  Our hearts go out to Bill and family as they cope with their loss.   Don and Pat Brennan

Rose will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved her.  She was very feisty, and she lived the life she chose and wanted.  She was ambitious, determined, smart and incredibly talented.   Rose was very thoughtful and kind and caring.  Rose would have her morning coffee each day at the kitchen window waiting for the birds, bunnies and squirrels to come up to the window and join her.  She even had names for all of them.  She took care to feed them and keep them out of harms way.  Rose had a great sense of humour, and she was an incredible cook.  However baking pies was not her forte, although the fillings were always delicious.   I will miss the morning coffee dates with you, Mom.  I will miss all things left undone and unsaid.  Mostly I miss you.  Love Robert

My Mom loved art and poetry , and she instilled in me, a love of both. We had the privilege to  attended a Robert Bateman exhibition together many years ago.  She was thrilled when he signed our pieces of art and agreed to have his photo taken with us. We also attended a Salvador Dali showing. We agreed that it wasn’t our kind of art and had a chuckle over some of the pictures. Her and I would talk of poetry, sharing the meaning of a lovely poem one of us had found in a book that we’d bought one another.   How she loved garage sales! She’d find the most unique items and often they were actual antiques. My Mom loved a bargain and often found the neatest things for our cottage. It could be a plate, a wall hanging or just the coolest coffee mug. I appreciated them all.  She loved being a Grandmother and spoiling our kids with too many treats. She told me that as a Grandmother, she was allowed. The kids would come home with a grocery bag of Candy after having had a sleepover. Those huge bags of candy were given out at Halloween because we had a sugar rule in the house and it was just easier to let her feel good about giving it to them. Our children called her “ Grammie”, and this is the name I’ve adopted to be used with our beautiful Grandchildren. I’m so pleased that she met our daughter’s son,(Jacob) but am sadden that the newest great grandchild ( Violet) won’t meet her. Sadly, she was only able to see the birth picture as she was already doing poorly and in the hospital. I know that she’s been released of her pain and suffering and is with her siblings and her Mom in Heaven, whom she never got over losing her at such a young age.  I wish we’d have had more time to finish the conversations that we started, but I suppose they’ll have to wait. Thank you Mom for all your wise words over the years. I will miss your snappy retorts ,humour and phone calls.  You often spoke of how your Mom would visit you in a dream. I’m praying that you come visit me in my dreams as well. I love you Mom❤❤

Bill, I am deeply sorry for your loss.  Rose was a remarkable friend of 40 years and touched the lives of many - especially mine. Rose’s compassion and empathy were qualities that made her the person that she was. I miss you my dear friend.  We had lots of adventures together and maybe we will again in another life.

A feisty old bird, right to the end; that’s what comes to mind when I think of my grandmother. Her love for her family was as fierce and deep as her eyes were blue. As a child I loved sleepovers at Gram’s place; my fondest memories are of evening walks, eating chocolates at night in the kitchen and looking through photo albums, followed by mornings of crispy “blackened” pancakes cooked in shortening.  As a parent now, I can imagine the challenges around packing up the kids and heading out to Gram’s place; but Gram’s place was where we all gathered as a family - for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. My childhood memories are of the adults chatting around the dining table and my brother and I playing with our cousins. These are very happy memories and I like to think Gram can see them from where she is now, whether that be from above or just in our hearts. You will be forever missed Gram, we love you! Love your granddaughter, Ashley (Robert and Deborah’s daughter)

To Bill, Rosemary’s children and family.  Although we never met,  your family here in Nova Scotia, brought you home to the east coast through the many stories of years past and aging in a large family.  Life is a roller coaster of ups and downs and the downs don’t get much lower than losing a wife, mother, grandmother sister, and friend.  Her beautiful smile is worthy of awe.  The love described my family, friends, and neighbours here in the list of condolences, speak not only to the outward beauty, but an inward beauty and love so generously shared .  A sharing  that will remain forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.  Such love never dies.  Please know that as you grieve, we think of you and carry you all in our hearts and prayers, that you may find some comfort in a love, of life and family that mourns with you.  Many blessings.  Sandy and Barry.   Sister and brother in law to your brother Ralph.  ❤❤❤

Dearest Bill & Family, What a wonderful & beautiful tribute to Rose. She lived with a heart brimming with love & affection for you all. She spoke so highly of her children & grandchildren. Looking at all of the amazing pictures and that gorgeous smile tells a story of a wife who was so very much in love with you Bill, a mom who delighted in her children’s successes, & a sweet grandmother to her dear grandchildren. I will remember my dear sister in-law as a classy lady, someone who always sent you a card even though she knew I would probably never get around to sending one to her & Bill. I will always remember the special bond shared between Rose & Gloria. These two sisters although they lived so many miles apart were never apart in spirit.  I pray that the treasure chest of beautiful memories will spill over in the weeks & months & years to come & fill each of you with her beautiful spirit. Sending our love to each of you. You are in our thoughts and prayers ❤️❤️✨💫✨ Love Ralph & Susan & Family❤️❤️Love you forever & Always Rosemary 💕💕

To my dear brother Billy and all his children my deepest sympathies.  Rosemary was one of a kind.   I will cherish all the memories I had with her and Billy... Dinners out ...brunchs out, family gatherings.  She was my little psychiatrist when I was ever going through a hard time or needed some advice.  Rosemary was funny, generous, kind....a real Gem.  I will miss all of our 7:00 a.m. phone calls. Heaven is happy they have a new Angel. Love to her and all of u that loved her. ❤️ Nancy.      Nancy Fournier

Bill what a beautiful obituary tribute and  video to honor the well lived life of Rose. I sit here with tears running down my face as I remember my dear friend (Rosie) as I called her.  I have been friends with Rosie for at least 35 years and can not believe she has left us.  She fought so hard to stay with Bill and her family that she loved with all her heart. I will miss her smile giggles friendship phone calls and all the good times we had together. Thank you Bill for all you and Rosie did for  me after Harv passed and I wish I knew how to repay you.  A  better friend will be hard to find and I hope your precious memories of her will help to ease your sorrow..I too will miss her but she is now in the arms of an angel free from pain..you and your family are in my heart and prayers. I am here for you HUGS Cheryl
