RALPH WOODHALL

September 5, 1934 – September 4, 2025

Ralph Woodhall died peacefully on September 4, 2025 at the Grace hospital with his son Gerald and his granddaughter Aryanna by his side. 


He is survived by his sons, Gerald (Tanya), Keith; ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; his older brother Gordon (Shirley) Woodhall; and numerous nieces and nephews. 


Ralph was recently predeceased by his wife of 67 years Renita; Ralph Jr.; and his daughter Christine.


Ralph was the eighth child born to Annie and Alexander Woodhall on September 5, 1934 in the City of St. James. Ralph grew up on a family farm in Woodlands Manitoba. His family then moved to Winnipeg when his father fell ill. Ralph met Renita at a dance hall in Winnipeg they married June 29, 1957. Ralph and Renita had four children Ralph Jr., Gerald, Keith and then finally a daughter Christine to complete their family.


Ralph worked for many years as a lather for various construction companies in Winnipeg. He later worked with his son Keith as a carpenter at Red River Insulation and also as a subcontractor.


Ralph also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping with his wife and his children. Many memories were made throughout Manitoba’s lakes and campgrounds.


When the family grew up and moved out, Ralph and Renita purchased a small camper which they enjoyed on many road trips. Ralph enjoyed his independence and loved to drive wherever he pleased. He continued to drive until he was 90 years old turning in his license at the end of 2024.


Ralph enjoyed the closeness of family. He enjoyed going for coffee with his cousin Penny, his sons and grandchildren.


Pallbearers will be Ralph’s grandsons: Shaun Woodhall, Josh Zoranen, Jonathan Zoranen, Anthony Zoranen, Thomas Woodhall and Connor Woodhall.


Funeral Services to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 603 Wellington Cres (Unitarian Church).
