BEATRICE WYRYHA

September 25, 1958 – January 7, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Beatrice Wyryha, who went home to be with the Lord on January 7, 2026, at 8:18 a.m. She was born on September 25, 1958, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and lived a life grounded in faith, love, and service to others.

Beatrice is lovingly remembered by her only son, Phil Pshyk, daughter in-law Andrea, and by her three cherished grandsons, Joshua, Geoffrey, and Odin, who were truly the light of her life. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she treasured every moment shared with them.

A devoted woman of faith, Beatrice was an active member of her church and had a deep and unwavering passion for God. Sunday mornings were especially meaningful to her—she faithfully joined her family for church, always arriving with a warm smile and a Tim Hortons breakfast or treat in hand.

She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially playing bingo, and valued the friendships and laughter that came with it. Throughout her working life, Beatrice served with dedication at the Royal Canadian Mint and later with Statistics Canada, where her strong work ethic and commitment were evident.

Above all else, Beatrice will be remembered for her loving heart, generosity, steadfast faith, and the quiet ways she showed up for those she loved. Her presence was a blessing, and her memory will live on in the lives she touched.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at Riverview Health Centre, who provided exceptional care and kindness to Beatrice during the last year of her life. Your dedication and support meant more than words can express. We would also like to say a big thank you to Marlene Schroeder for going above and beyond taking care of Beatrice when she was living with you and thank you to everyone who has been there for Beatrice from the of our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Gateway Church on Kapelus Drive. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements are finalized.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Bea lived in my lower level for several years and she was always ready to pray for people who were going thrugh difficulty and was ready to help generously to anyone in need.. She loved her family and was always happy to spend time with them or see them on a Sunday . She shared her passion for hockey with me and we often a=watched the Jets play on TV . Bea worked from home during the pandemic and I was always amaazed and how she could persuade people to do the telephone surveys by first spending some time with the people she was surveying. She did her work well and was always happy to annouce how many complete surveys she managed to accomplish.. She was intelligent and besides the chinese shows she loved she also loved watching the news and staying up to date on the happenings in the world.. I have missed her company and her unique view of things..
