JOANNE YETMAN

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our sister, mother, grandmother, and friend: Joanne (Pinky) Yetman.

Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Harry Beddome; her husband Matt Yetman; and great grandson Ricky Maytwayashing.

She leaves to mourn her sister Barbara; brother Sandy (Doris); her two daughters Connie and Debra  grandchildren, Paul, Melissa (Matthew), Candice (Ricky), Crystal, Ronald, Jonathan, and Josi; great- grandchildren, Kaydence, Taylor, Kearrin, James, Jeremiah, Alex, Abel, Israel, Ryleigh, Immanuel, Kristian, and Eli; as well as other family members and her many friends.

Joanne was an avid Bingo player who could be seen winning jackpots at the Freight house or chasing that big pot at Holy Ghost. A woman who wore many hats, she brought her creativity to everything she did whether it be in her amazing sequin art, the delicious food hampers she prepared as Christmas gifts or the bejeweled clothing she designed and wore just to name a few.

A true fashionista, Joanne delighted in dressing to the current trends and dressed with such elegance you would think she was attending a grand ball! Most would agree Joanne was 76 going on 40.

Joanne loved to spend time in the kitchen. Cooking and baking were something she enjoyed doing and once again she showed her creativity. Sometimes her experiments although delicious could never be replicated. She would find new recipes and always add her own twist to them. Her recipes for mac and cheese and chilli were always family favourites - highly requested amongst the grandchilren growing up.

Joanne even in her late 60's was full of life and would travel often with her sister Barb. She could be seen swimming with the dolphins or parasailing above the oceans. She was braver than most when it came to new trying things and this showed in all aspects of her life.

Joanne loved the holidays and celebrated them stunningly. Her favourite holidays were Christmas and Halloween. Visiting her house during Christmas was like visiting the North Pole or a beautiful Winter Wonderland. She once received a community award for best decorated house! Halloween she could be seen at the bingo halls competing for first prize for best costume dressed in her amazing costumes such as the Grinch, Maleficent, or in her witch costume. She spent hours designing her costumes and searching for that perfect nose or fabric.

Joanne shared special bonds with each of her grandchildren individually. She spent time with each of them whether it be playing bingo, snuggling up watching movies, giving driving lessons, just visiting or giving advice on how to navigate life by sharing her personal past experiences and stories. Stories and memories that will live on through us forever.

Joanne was a beautiful woman with a golden soul who would see beauty in everything. She loved her family unconditionally. She was our rock and she will be missed more than words can say.

Our hearts will ache with sadness and many tears will flow.

What it means to lose you, only we will know.

We hold you close within our hearts, for there you will remain.

To guide us throughout our lives, until we meet again.
