LUCY YUEN

We’re sad to announce the passing of our mom, Lucy Yuen, on July 6, 2022, at the age of 85 years old. She is survived by her children Gail, Tony, Gary, and Arthur; her grandchildren Charity, Jeremy, Alanna, Justin, and Jeffrey; and great-grandchildren Kalea, August, Zane, Brené, and Tavienne. Also surviving her are three sisters and one brother. Lucy was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1995.

Mom and Dad immigrated from China to Saskatchewan in the 1950s then settled in Manitoba. Mom was a loving wife and mother with a quiet and calm personality. When Dad was away on work trips, Mom worked hard to care for us. In her younger years, Mom enjoyed listening to her Dean Martin and Patti Page records. One of our fondest memories was enjoying eggrolls we helped make together. Mom had challenges in her life, but we’re thankful she’s at peace now.

A special thank you to Dr. K. Moran De Muller and the staff at Beacon Hill Lodge for the loving care given to our mother over the years. Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.
