DAVID ZEGARAC

February 15, 1979 – September 14, 2024

Tragically, on September 14, 2024, we lost David as a result of an accident, far too early at the young age of 45.

David will be terribly missed by his wife Sabrina; mother Glenda (Gary); father Ed (Cathy); sister Lauren; step brother Jeff (Kim); brother-in-law Ren Richard; Uncles, Jim, Gary, and Bruce; Aunt Lynn; niece Breanna; nephew Devin; and many cousins too numerous to mention.

David was born in Winnipeg and had lived in St Johns, NFL and Vancouver, BC, but returned to his home in Winnipeg.

David lived a full life and fulfilled many adventures in the short period of time he was here.

His experiences included fronting a punk band that toured all the provinces in Canada, Northern U.S.A, and throughout Europe.

David attended William Osler Elementary, River Heights, and Kelvin High Schools.

Not much for sports, although he was great at snowboarding and skateboarding, he had an artistic flare and supplied the family with his artwork.

David was a multi-talented musician, playing guitars, drums, violin, and piano.

Although the last few years presented some challenges, he was making great strides and Sabrina was instrumental in his finding peace and tranquility. He was always happy and willing to help those in need.

In the last few years Sabrina and David started a successful online business with Sabrina handling the antiques/ housewares and David an extensive collection of toy collectibles with transformers being his specialty.

Cremation has taken place and in lieu of a funeral service, an informal gathering will be held at a later date.

I understand that many have justified negative feelings about this person, but please don't hurt an already grieving family. He can't see your words but they can. ✌️

RIP Dave. I'll cherish the memories from the punk scene days and the Broadway. Condolences to your wife and family/friends.
