REBECCA NICOLE RANSON

December 15, 1976 – July 4, 2023

It is with deep sorrow we must announce the passing of our loved one, Rebecca Nicole Ranson. Becky was surrounded by her loving children, family and closest friends when she took her last breath on July 4, 2023.

Becky is survived by her children Grace and James Baker, partner Adam Holmes, mother Sheila Trosky (Garry), father Rick Ranson (Marly), sisters Tara Tetrault (Justin), Jessica Brandstrom (Josh) and Dayna Trosky (James). Also left to mourn are nieces Emily, Katie and Aleena; and nephew Taylor. Countless extended family, in-laws and chosen family are grieving. A special thank you to Colleen Clapham, Laura Rand, Matt Linklater and Nadine Clement for your support.

Becky was born December 15, 1976 and adopted by Rick and Sheila. She grew up in Transcona, Winnipeg attending French Immersion. Becky was very involved in her community with Girl Guides. She went on to the University of Manitoba to further her education. Supported by her mom and dad, Becky registered with Children's Aid Society at age 20 and reunited with her birth mother, sister and brother.

Being Grace and James' mom was the joy of Becky's life. Her pride in her children was palpable, her love unwavering. Supporting her kids' talents in dance and theatre was a high point in Becky's life, she dance mommed like no other!

Becky’s gift of gab from the time she could talk, is unmatched. Her laugh would spark joy for all who heard and the caliber of friends she acquired in her short life is a testament to who she was as a person. We will always love you, Becky.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on July 26, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 4, 1755 Portage Ave. A special thank you to the staff at I.H. Asper Institute ICCU for your care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or Harvest Manitoba.
