With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Cyndy Robins, born to Alexandria and Arthur Keith in Aberdeen, Scotland, on January 15, 2022 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 82.  

 

She leaves behind her children, Kerri; Keith (Shannon); her grandchildren Rhys, Callum, Jeffrey, Aiden and Quinn. Cyndy is pre-deceased by her husband George, daughter Tracy, and grandson Owen. As well, she leaves behind friends and family in Canada, the United States, and back home in Scotland.

 

After receiving her teaching certificate in Brandon, Manitoba, Cyndy and George married and moved to Winnipeg. Here she made her career teaching elementary students. Education was important to Cyndy, and later in life she attained her post-bachelor degree in special education.  

 

In her retired years she tutored many young students in reading and writing.

 

She loved traveling, and together with George traveled around Thailand, teaching English as a second language. Her travels also took her to India, Prague, and the United Kingdom where she reunited with family and friends. Cyndy could always be counted on to bring little trinkets and gifts from her travels back to her grandchildren.

 

In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and needle point.

 

Cyndy will be sadly missed and in accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
