It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher (Kit) Dale Schile of Lac Du Bonnet, MB. He will be deeply missed by his Loving wife Linda (Dentrey) Schile of 43 years.  Kit passed away peacefully in Pinawa, Manitoba, November 4, 2021, at the age of 68, after short battle with cancer.

 

Kit was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, on November 1, 1953 to parents Frank & Margaret Schile. Kit had 5 brothers and sisters.  He went to school in Foremost Alta. Kit married Linda Dentrey, on June 2, 1978. Kit was a devoted husband, loving and protective brother & uncle, and a solid and steadfast friend to many.                                                                                                                                                                           Kits days growing up on the family farm groomed him for a career in the agriculture industry. Kit was a skilled farmer. His confidence and conversation skills made him a whiz at cultivating great relationships which served him well in his professional life as a farm implement sales consultant.

 

Kit worked on the farm, for the Foremost County Road crew, oil rigs, Bow Island New Holland Dealership Moved to MB as a young man and started out working at the Winnipeg University Hog research farm, New Holland Impl., Parkside equipment, Enns Brothers (John Deer Dealership) and retired. Kit really enjoyed farming so much he continued to help some farmers out, even after he retired his favorite piece of machinery to run was the Combine.

 

Kit loved the adventure of going Camping, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and hanging out visiting. 

 

Anyone who knew Kit knows he was smart, strong, ambitious, inventive, handy, successful, funny mischievous, & stubborn just to list a few. He loved to work hard and play hard too. He enjoyed his life! Most of all he was fiercely loyal to his family and friends which he cherished and held in the highest regard. He was grateful for them every day. Kit was most grateful for his loving wife Linda. He always commented how lucky he was to have such a wonderful woman that would, and I quote “put up with him, and love him despite his fault. “

 

Our Kit will be deeply missed, he was taken from us much too soon. For those of us that have the distinct privilege and honor of calling him husband, brother, uncle and friend, we will live with the peace that we are better people for having had him in our lives and he will live on in all of us.

 

Kit is survived by his wife Linda; siblings, Elizabeth Cook of Lethbridge, Renae (Jeff) Scott of Lethbridge, Susan (Larry) Penn of Calgary and Wayne (Carol) Schile of Lethbridge; sister In-Law Barbara (Jay) Schile of Fort Macleod; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Kit was predeceased by his Dad Frank; Mom Margaret; and Brother Jay.

 

Kit spoke of his deep and heartfelt appreciation for Dr Bruneau, and all the doctors, nurses and staff, that comforted and helped him through his final days. He called the nursing staff his personal angels and spoke very highly of them. The family appreciates all you have done.

 

Cremation has occurred. If friends should desire, donations can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or charity of your choice.      

  

A celebration of Kit’s life will be announced at a later date. In the meantime, Kit's family kindly request that his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories and stories, using the comment section on this page.
