ARTHUR SCHULZ

June 17, 1935 - April 2, 2020

Art was born on June 17th, 1935 to Gustav and Wilhelmina Schulz in Nipawin Saskatchewan where he went to school and grew up. His grandparents, Samuel and Pauline Schielke had a homestead just west of his family where he often visited and helped.

In pursuit of work, Art moved to Winnipeg where he drove truck and owned a Roco station for a time until he got on with Greyhound Bus Lines where he proudly drove with an exemplary safe driving record for more than 35 years before retiring. He loved the road and people, so he continued to drive for Beaver Bus lines for several years during his retirement. Art stopped driving bus and eventually moved to Victoria BC with his wife and love of his life Jean Schultz.

He had made several friends over the years and was highly respected. He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need and it was reflected in the wonderful things people would say about him. In his lifetime he was married three times (3rd time is a charm) and was father to six children: Linda, Debora, Richard (Deceased), Arlie-Ann, Wayne, and Arthur (Deceased). He also had a wonderful stepfamily: Terry, Patti, Bert, and Bob who treated him so very well. Art was a proud grandpa to eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He enjoyed being with Jean (his Jeanie), hosting dinners (an excellent cook), spending time with family and close friends. He also liked fishing with his boys, gardening, curling, and had a soft spot for dogs.

Art passed away peacefully in Victoria BC on April 2, 2020 and will be missed dearly. He is survived by his wife Jean Schultz; his children, Linda Schultz, Deborah (Wade) Zammit, Arlie-Ann Sigurdson, Wayne (Nadine) Schultz, (Birdie) Schultz; his stepchildren, Terry (Paul) Prefontaine, Patti (Len Haraburda) Rogers, Bert (Myles) Thacker, and Bob (Peerapan) Thacker; grandchildren, David Zammit, Carla Kitkoski, Lauren Zammit, Neeley Rebel Fluke, Clinton Kitkoski, Sabrina Schultz, Jordan Krost, Tyler Krost, Grayson Schultz, Jayden Schultz, and Tyson Schultz; seven great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
