WAYNE LAWRENCE TONY SKIRZYK

November 4, 1944 – September 29, 2020

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Skirzyk in the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 75 years.

Wayne is survived by wife of 54 years, Elaine Donna Judith (Musick), sons Paul (Patricia) and Jason (Kristin); and grandchildren Arielle, Sacha, Addison, Eden, Tara, and Aiden. He was predeceased by his Mother Anne (1983), Youngest brother Stacey and Sister Delores.

Wayne was born in Winnipeg and raised in Atikokan, Ontario, moving back to Winnipeg’s North End in 1956. He attended Sisler High School, joined the Canadian Military Signal Corps and owned and operated a school and bus service for the disabled. He worked CP Rail, retiring in 1997, after becoming a Supervisor within the CP Customer Service Centre in Winnipeg. He was a third-degree lifetime member of the Fr. Filipow Council #8944, Knights of Columbus, and a lifetime member of the fourth Degree Canon Luhovy Assembly #0374. He also enjoyed his two pet dogs JO-JO and Digby, who were constant companions and were deeply missed upon their passing.

“Those that knew him, knew of him!”

In accordance with Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no Church service. There will be a private interment at a later date.
